The Adhesive Systems Inc ASI MP 54270 is a clear epoxy compound for potting and encapsulating applications. This clear potting epoxy has a 60 minute work life and a viscosity of 20,000 cps. 

The MP 54270 is an excellent choice for small to medium sized castings and gives great moisture and chemical resistance. It is also non-corrosive so the MP 54270 is a great option when potting or encapsulating electronic and metal components.

Dispensing the ASI MP 54270 Clear Epoxy

The ASI MP 54270 is a two part epoxy. This means the A and B sides of the adhesive do not activate until they are mixed. Typically, this adhesive is dispensed using a cartridge gun and static mixer. The cartridge gun used will depend on whether you are using the 50ml or 400ml cartridge.

MP54270 is a two part unfilled electronic grade epoxy encapsulant designed for small to medium sized castings. It cures quickly at room temperature to a tough, semi-rigid polymer. It has good wetting and adhesion to most surfaces and is free flowing to penetrate voids and give good air release. It has very good resistance to water, acids and bases and most organic solvents. It was formulated to a 1A:1B volume mix ratio for use in side-by-side cartridges and meter/mix dispensing equipment. MP54270 will reach full cure at room temperature within 24 hours.
