Rotor: non-staggered design and of stainless steel construction. This is capable of accommodating 12 blades of varied materials of construction. Upper seal type: double mechanical with water flush. Lower seal type: double mechanical with water flush. Upper and lower ports: 3 in. Upper and lower head design: straight. Drive type: belt driven with 7-1/2 hp motor. Designed to be used with flooded refrigerant (i.e. Freon or ammonia), with working temperature ranges of: – 30°F to + 300°F and a maximum working pressure of: 300 psig (20 bar) product side and 250 psig (17 bar) media side, these Contherm scraped-surface heat exchangers are specifically configured to provide efficient and gentle treatment of varieties of shear-sensitive products or particulates.
