Overview of Plexus MA530 Adhesive

Two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastic, metal, and composite assemblies. This product has been designed for use on large structures where a moderate open time product is needed. Plexus MA530 may be used for composite and metal bonding for small to large structures.

Suitable Substrates:

• Composites: DCPD, FRP, Gelcoat, Phenolics, Epoxy Based Composites, RIM
• Coated Metals: Powder coated or E-coated Metals
• Thermoplastics: ABS/ ABS Blends, Acrylics, PBT, Polycarbonate, Rigid PVC, TPUs
• Raw Metals: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Raw Steel, etc., with PC120

• Shear Strength: 1,700-2,500 psi (11.7 – 17.2 MPa)
• Viscosity: Adhesive (A): 130,000-180,000 cP; Activator (B): 160,000-215,000 cP
• Working Time: 30 to 40 minutes
• Fixture Time: 90 to 160 minutes
• Tensile Strength: 2,500 to 3,500 psi (17.2 – 24.1 MPa)
• Tensile Elongation: 130% to 170%
