(4) 1993 Alfa Laval Contherm® Scraped-Surface Heat Exchangers Model: 6 x 9. S/N: HC5272NPC, HC5284NPC, HC5283NPC and HC5283NPC. With chrome plated, nickel cylinders, they are designed to be used with flooded refrigerant (i.e. Freon or Ammonia). Working temperature ranges: – 30°F to + 300°F. Maximum working pressure: 300 psig (20 bar) product side, 250 psig (17 bar) media side. Originally installed with Anheuser-Busch, these Contherm® scraped-surface heat exchangers have been specifically configured to provide efficient and gentle treatment of a variety of shear-sensitive products or particulates by placing products under varied shear for mechanical mixing and scraping. Although specifically designed for the Food industry, the Contherm® is designed to meet the strictest sanitary standards, is widely used for aseptic processing applications and has CIP capability. With the options of being mounted horizontally or vertically it is ideal for heating or cooling particulate, sticky, viscous and crystallizing/phase-change processes.
